Summary: Back in the 60s, we saw the rather hilarious spiritual retelling of the tale of Faust, complete with Peter Cook as the comedically evil George Spiggott, AKA, the Devil. Now, that story is being told again in a more contemporary setting, with Satan now...a woman! It's actually more interesting than it sounds.
History: Satan's method of finding weak-willed folks to manipulate is a computer system in this modern day, and her most recent target is a lowly office drone named Elliot Richards, whose head-over-heels for the beautiful Allison, but lets his shyness and total un-remarkability get in the way. Then the Princess of Darkness comes by to strike a deal with her. Just for the price of one soul (his own), he can have seven wishes to help get her the girl. Needless to say, Elliot's oftentimes short-sighted wishes get him more trouble than they're worth...

Final Fate: After six out of seven wishes go sour, and after spending some prison time with a person who may or may not be God, Elliot decides that his seventh wish should be for Allison to live a fulfilled life, regardless if they get together or not. Although initially enraged and after attempting to send him to Hell, Satan admits that because the wish was selfless, he's off the hook. Despite everything, Elliot doesn't mind having known Satan as a friend, and the last time we saw her, she was playing chess with the same cellmate.
Powers/Abilities: Ominipotance
Weakness: A selfless wish will null any contract with her.
Scariness Factor: 2-Despite being, you know, the Devil, this interpretation is actually a lot more affable, if no less sinister. She enjoys manipulating people into misery, but admits that Heaven and Hell can both be found on Earth, and at times actually seems to enjoy the sight of people overcoming their own demons.
Trivia: -Originally, Elliot was such a pushover of a character that test audiences couldn't stand him. This was thankfully toned down to an extent in the final product.
-Satan was played by Elizabeth Hurley, whose greatest claim to fame seems to be that one time she wore a rather unique-looking dress in 1994 during the premiere of "Four Weddings and a Funeral". It attracted slight controversy for how revealing it was, but Hurley says that it felt more empowering than that.
